This is an awesome Mat Pilates class brought to you by Pilates and Forrest Yoga instructor, Cher. This class is very challenging and will work your core like nothing else! This is an absolute beginner yoga class and is perfect for those who are completely new to yoga. The class begins with a small amount of calming breathwork designed to quiet the mind and prepare you for class. Then you move through a few warm up poses and into Sun Salutation A. The longer versions include a balancing sequence as well as some other basic poses, and the full-length class includes a Sun Salutation B series. Another addition to our extremely popular Gentle Hatha series. This gentle flow will work to warm your body, but moves very slow through the poses so you can relax and get the maximum benefit from each posture. Jackie incorporates a lot of unique twists, such as half pigeon twist, which will not only stretch the entire back, but detoxify the body. Moon Salutations, called Chandra Namaskar, are a
variation of the classic Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) and are
designed to be relaxing and restorative for the body and mind. The Moon
is of particular importance in Hatha Yoga as "ha" means sun and "tha"
means moon. Hatha Yoga then is meant to bring unity and balance between
these two opposites. While the sun it warming and invigorating, the
moon is cooling and calming and these salutations are meant to
